I’m a 27-year old wife and stay-at-home mom to 3 kids. These are two of the biggest parts of my life, and very good parts they are. I struggle at times to reconcile the facets of my life and to feel like I’m still ‘myself’ and not just the roles and responsibilities that describe me. I love time alone to write, and find that when i get alone with pen and paper (or, here, my MacBook,) the chaos in my mind all settles into something more coherent– i think more effectively through written word. So this is good. You’ll see I talk a lot about my kids, get a kick out of the little things in life, and have an affinity for longish sentences peppered with plenty of punctuation.
But also, there’s this: I believe that we’re all more alike than different. That “there is nothing new under the sun;” that our human experience is made of the same elements (joy, sorrow, struggle, growth… ) played out through endless variations of circumstances. And that it is easier to work through the hard stuff and more rewarding to cherish the good stuff when we know we are not alone in it. So I tell you about what goes on in my life to relate, to do my bit to break down walls and connect; striving ever onward to follow Christ in all i do.

Lindsay- I just wanted to say “Hello”. I am not sure that we have formally met- but Lauren Danaher sent me a link to your blog. I was telling her that my work has asked me to start one of station’s website. I wanted to get idea of what a good blog looked like- and she recommened yours. So please take this quick note as an extended complaint from both her and me.
I really enjoyed your writting style- specially the view from the inside. I will- if it’s alright with you- be checking back from time to time. Congrautlations on baby Asher and the new place. Tell Brian if he should see me in the new building that he has to make a point to formally introduce us.
Sincerely
Doug

hi lindsay! thank you for your sweet comment on my blog. it made me smile this morning. over the past several months, i have been asked on NUMEROUS occasions if i knew you. i can’t remember all of the people, but it’s been several times. makes me think that we are destined to meet! so it was cool to see your name on my blog. amazing how God connects the pieces and His people in so many ways. maybe i’ll actually run into you in person one day
and, in the meantime, thank you for lifting me up. i continue to be amazed by my brothers and sisters in Christ. this walk has been a whirlwind of a journey, but one i would not trade for anything. i have met amazing new friends that connect with me on a level that only His children can, i’ve learned so much about myself, and am growing stronger and stronger every day. thank you for loving Him and walking with Him right by my side

Hello,
I just stumbled upon your blog, and it seems just lovely. The writing style caught my attention instantly, and I can’t wait to read more.
I don’t have any kids yet, but I am 27 with a husband (and an English teacher, actually). So your writing definitely struck a chord.
